Artists & Creatives
Artists, poets, writers, musicians: I know you are deep feelers and deep thinkers. You are the noticers. The ones who see and hear and wonder about both the big picture and the beautiful details. The ones who ask questions and explore and experiment. And sometimes all the noticing and depth can feel weighty. It can feel like A LOT to navigate. I have years of both personal and professional experience helping artists engage with intense feelings in ways that are supportive of well-being.
Our creative practices and our lived lives are intertwined and ever-evolving. This can foster a life lived deeply with meaning, and it can also present some challenges. I specialize in helping artist-identified clients sort through these challenges.

Sensitivities & Neurodiversity
First, let me tell you this: You are not too sensitive. It is a gift (and sometimes a challenge) to be wired in a way that is highly sensitive. It is, in fact, a personality trait, not something that is wrong with you or even out of the ordinary. In this same spirit, neurodiversity, the differences in the way our brains process information, is not a deficit. Neurodiversity means that humans take in and interact with the world around them in diverse ways.
I have long known that I am highly sensitive, though I did not have the language and a positive perspective for it until well into adulthood. More recently I discovered that I am also neurodiverse within the category of ADHD. With the experience and knowledge I have gained, much of it through trial and error, I want to help you navigate your own unique sensitivities and/or neurodiversity on your terms, at your pace, so that you can thrive in your life.

Purpose & Meaning
Are you feeling a deep desire to do something, or be something, or find something, but you are not sure what it is? Or maybe you know what it is, but you are not sure how to get there. You may be feeling the existential pull to find purpose and make meaning in your life.
These powerful questions and longings can come up at major pivotal points in your life. Often these pivotal life moments can be accompanied by stress, anxiety, fears, and worries. How do you want to find purpose and make meaning? Now in midlife, I have been through the wringer of major transformational seasons in life myself, and I will show up with unwavering compassion and empathy for you as you discover your own path and purpose.

I see you. I am listening.
From my own lived experience as an artist, and my deep connections with many brilliant artists and creative communities, I bring a nuanced understanding to the conversation that is talk therapy with my clients who identify as artists. As a highly sensitive person and as someone who identifies as neurodiverse (with a later-in-life awareness and understanding of my ADHD brain), I show up with compassion and curiosity. And, as someone who has wandered far and wide (geographically and philosophically) with the intention of finding purpose and making meaning, I love to support clients who are also finding their way through the labyrinth to alignment with their inner knowing and the communities they live in.
